Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing QikPod operations network,PUDOs/Mini Stores.
  • Analyze, design and develop delivery route/network of operations and prepare detailed functional specifications.
  • Ensure effective management of first and last mile delivery keeping in mind the optimal customer experience.
  • Prepare and implement SOPs for the logistics network, adhering to various government laws in the logistics sector.
  • Define SLAs and TAT for both last mile and first mile deliveries.
  • Manage and coordinate with the clients for optimized service delivery and ensure continuous business opportunities with them.
  • Effective team management including hiring, training and guiding the executives as per the operational procedures and performance metrics.
  • Resolve various day to day challenges with utmost efficiency and improvement.
  • Supervise, coordinate, plan and monitor daily logistics operations and ensure smooth functioning of the day to day deliveries of parcels from client warehouses into QikPod lockers as per the SLAs.
  • Create and implement various in transit policies including liability terms, parcel insurances etc.
  • Ensure in transit loss control by effective management and process innovation.
  • Responsible for strategic planning, identification of metrics/KPIs to continuously monitor performance of QikPod logistics network and operational goals.
  • Implement cost-effective logistical solutions without compromising quality and business performance.
  • Publish performance metrics by ensuring data management of entire workflow of the logistic network including pick up status, delivery status, TAT adherence etc and hold operational and business reviews with the key Stakeholders & the management.
  • Continuous growth of service.
  • Reporting to the management.

Desired Skills:

  • Graduate with 5+ years of experience in handling logistics operations especially last mile or end customer deliveries with ecommerce or 3PL companies.
  • Well versed in logistics/courier services, warehousing operations, delivery hub operations etc.
  • Experienced in planning and implementing delivery route and distribution of last mile deliveries in  eCommerce/3PL sector.
  • Vast experience in handling first mile to last mile delivery workflow including shipment pickup, packaging, shipment tracking etc.

Network Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Launch, manage QikPod locker network roll out.
  • Plan resources, recruit and manage the team of Field Service Engineers and Customer Care Executives.
  • Develop network workflow and SOP for all customer/locker sites.
  • Provide adequate technical training and coaching to the team on full cycle of locker deployment including shipping the locker from warehouse to assembling, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgradation along with customer support.
  • Coordinate and interact with vendors for locker movements from manufacturing units to QikPod warehouses.
  • Schedule frequent inspections,  preventive maintenance and upgradation of lockers across sites.
  • Prepare reports on locker network operations,  locker deployment logs and engage with management for continuous improvement.

Desired Skills:

  • Graduation with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in managing the network of operations for any of the electronics products like  ATMs, CCTVs, appliances/washing machines/;refrigerators, water purifiers, photocopier/printers, electronic medical equipment etc.
  • Should be currently managing a robust team of Field/Technical Service Engineers.

The buzz in India’s e-commerce business is getting louder by the day. Now, research firm Forrester expects India’s online retail spending to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 50 percent over the next five years and reach $16 billion by 2018, an eight-fold increase from 2013.

Online buyer population in India will grow 4-5 times in the next five years

Forrester  is optimistic about the growth potential in India’s consumer base. In 2013, the country’s population was 1.28 billion with every sixth person having internet access.  In other words, over 16% are online users of which only 14 percent or  28 million users are online buyers. Forrester expects the online buyer population in India to grow to 128.5 million by 2018, which will represent 23% of the total online population of India in 2018.

Last year, mobile commerce accounted for 10 percent to 15 percent of online retailer transactions.

Tier-II and -III cities are ripe for picking, according to Forrester. The relative absence of the organised retail segment in these markets represents an opportunity for online retailers since the so-called unorganised retail sector ( read mom & pop stores) does not have the same product selection as larger chains.

In a report released last week, ICICI Securities said that the organised sector represented just 16 percent of total retail sales in India in CY12 as against 85 percent in the US.

According to that report, digital buyer penetration in India is just 23.5 percent of total internet users, much lower than in developed countries like the US, where it stands at 72 percent.

Forrester suggests that Indian e-tailers continue to gain customer trust by offering high quality services like quick troubleshooting facilities, strengthening their mobile presence and engaging customers through social media.

Last week, Flipkart, India’s own Amazon, said it crossed the the $1 billion sales mark a year ahead of schedule, a proof of the high growth of the online retail space in the country. Another incident that served as evidence of investor confidence in the segment was the announcement of a Rs 830 crore investment in Snapdeal by a group led by eBay.
